The Burial of a Wehrmacht Soldier: From the Archives to the Battlefield

Una ricerca negli archivi della Wehrmacht ha portato sulle tracce di un soldato tedesco della 715. Infanterie-Division, caduto durante i combattimenti sulla Linea Gotica e sepolto sul luogo della morte da un proprio ufficiale. Dopo la presentazione della ricerca al MUGOT, i soci di Gotica Toscana hanno verificato mappe, documenti e terreno, individuando il caposaldo tedesco ma non ancora la sepoltura. La ricerca continua e la storia del soldato sarà raccontata prossimamente.

On August 29–30, 2026, Un Tuffo nella Storia returns to the Giogo Pass. Organized by Gotica Toscana APS, the event is dedicated to preserving the memory of the Gothic Line. Historical reenactments, guided tours, military camps, and scenes of everyday soldier life will bring key moments from the 1944 Apennine front back to life.

New Display in the MuGot U.S. Army Gallery

A new display enriches the MuGot gallery dedicated to the U.S. Army. The indoor diorama features weapons, equipment and other American material from the Second World War, much of it recovered locally, offering visitors a more immersive experience of the history of the Gothic Line. COME AND SEE IT.

Horizons of Freedom 2026. Guided battlefield tours from August to November

Da agosto a novembre 2026 il Museo Gotica propone il nuovo calendario di “Orizzonti di Libertà”, con escursioni guidate sui campi di battaglia della Linea Gotica. Gli itinerari toccheranno Passo del Giogo, Monte Altuzzo, Cimitero Tedesco della Futa, Peabody Peak, Monticelli e Fontefredda. Prenotazione obbligatoria al 333 196 8080.

From California to the Gothic Line: Young Americans Visit MuGot

Una gruppo di giovani provenienti dalla California ha visitato l’American Florence Cemetery and Memorial e il Passo del Giogo per ripercorrere i luoghi in cui combatté un proprio congiunto. A Dive into History 2025: contents and images

The 2025 edition of A Dive into History brought nearly 200 reenactors to Passo del Giogo. Between commemorative marches, artillery, Monuments Men, and scenes of military life, the event transformed the sites of the Gothic Line into a theater of memory. Guest of honor was actor James Madio, star of Band of Brothers, who shared moments of great humanity with reenactors and the public.
