On November 24th, in two separate ceremonies, the Associations Gotica Toscana, Gustav line and Felonica Museum they donated jointly to Historical Museum of the “Julia” Alpine Brigade and from Museum of the Temple of Cargnacco, all the material found during the excavations of the Kirov graves which took place in 2017/18 by volunteers from the same Associations.
Trattasi principalmente di resti di equipaggiamenti e uniformi nonché di effetti personali appartenuti ai soldati prigionieri di nazionalità Italiana, ungherese e tedesca rinvenuti nelle grandi fosse adiacenti alla ferrovia che porta alla cittadina industriale della Russia centrale.
These donations have the aim of enriching the two museums with unique pieces so that the new generations can understand the tragedy of this sad chapter of history and to keep alive the memory of those who still rest in the frozen Russian steppes. #italianrecoveryteam #CSIR #armir #ww2memory

On 24 November, in two separate ceremonies, the Associations Gotica Toscana, Linea Gustav and Museo Felonica jointly donated to the Historical Museum of the “Julia” Alpine Brigade and to the Museum of the Temple of Cargnacco, all the stuffs found during the excavations of the graves of Kirov occurred in 2017/18 by volunteers from the same Associations. These are mainly remains of equipment and uniforms as well as personal effects belonging to prisoner soldiers of Italian, Hungarian and German nationality found in the large pits close to the railway that leads to the industrial town in central Russia. These donations have the aim of enriching the two museums with unique pieces so that the new generations can understand the tragedy of this sad chapter of history and to keep alive the memory of those who still remain in the frozen Russian lands.
