On 25 April 2024 he stopped in Scarperia, on the road to Ferrara, where the demonstration, "The column of freedom", will end. The event, of great scenic value, is in its 16th yearth Edition, thanks to the uncommon organizational capacity of two important institutions committed to preserving the memory of the Second World War: Gothic Tuscany aps and the Museum of the Second World War of the Po River in Felonica di Felonica (MN).

On the occasion of 79th anniversary of the Liberation from Nazi-fascism the vehicles and re-enactors of "La Colonna" arrived in Scarperia, Mugello, thus honoring one of the territories most marked by the bloody battles of the Gothic Line, where the 5th American Army defeated the Germanic troops commanded by General Kesselring. Departing from Cortona, over 500 men and vehicles arrived in Scarperia starting from Cortona, passing through Arezzo, Subbiano in Casentino, Londa, Dicomano, Vicchio and Borgo San Lorenzo.

The "Column" is made up of over 120 original historical military vehicles of the time and their crews in historical uniform. It is an event which, through various disciplines, such as historical motoring, uniformology, historical and archival research, keeps the memory of the Liberation of Italy alive among the population and young people, who arrived in large numbers in Scarperia to experience this fantastic day of re-enactment in the shadow of the tricolor.
