A group of students from the Giotto Ulivi Secondary School in Borgo San Lorenzo recently visited the Gotica Museum in Ponzalla, Scarperia, taking part in an in-depth exploration of World War II and the Gothic Line front.
The visit offered a valuable chance to reflect on the importance of historical memory and on the need to promote a culture of peace—especially in an age when war is all too often trivialized.
“War’s horror isn’t a video game,” the museum volunteers note, “and its consequences scar entire generations.”
Gotica Museum extends its appreciation to the teachers for the care and commitment with which they convey the value of history, linking it concretely to the territory once crossed by the Gothic Line. A special thank-you also goes to the volunteers of Gotica Toscana APS, whose passion and dedication make these days of learning and awareness possible.
