In this book the author recounts the vicissitudes of the infantrymen of the Sforzesca Division during the Russian Campaign. Uncle Giovanni Sasso, infantryman of the 53rd Infantry Regiment, left Biella on 26 June 1942. At the end of December, during the retreat, together with other comrades, he was captured and interned in the Kameskovo military hospital, from which he never returned.
