Setting up of the exhibition with the finds from the excavations of the mass graves of Italian soldiers in Russia, conducted with the participation of Gotica Toscana. Until 2023 you can visit the exhibition "The Kirov Pits", which collects the recently recovered personal effects and equipment of the soldiers who fell during the Russian campaign.
Not everyone knows that in the summers of 2017 and 2018, groups of Italians carried out real "excavation missions" in Russia, in search of the mass graves where several soldiers of our country were buried, missing after the tragic retreat with which they concluded the unexpected military expedition commissioned by the fascist regime during the Second World War.
