Giovanni Tiberi, Knight of the Republic, displays over 4,000 relics, documents, photographic images, uniforms and military vehicles from the battlefields of the Gothic Line. The museum stands on a site that, during 1944, was a minefield and one of the strategic points of the Gothic Line’s first line, the scene of bloody clashes between German troops and the British Eighth Army. Casinina played a particularly significant role: here a bridgehead was created that led to the fall of the first line in just a few days. The museum includes the Memory Park, an archive, a historical library and organises guided tours to the original Gothic Line bunker recovered by the museum institution. Its main objective is to educate new generations about the horrors of war, promoting a message of peace and inclusiveness through historical analysis. Not only the Gothic Line: the museum also houses a section dedicated to the First World War and an archive that allows for an in-depth analysis of the first half of the twentieth century. The educational route emphasises the importance of History in forming aware individuals capable of responsible choices. Founded and managed by the Tiberi Family, the museum is a private institution that exclusively preserves all the historical material on display. For information and bookings, the museum’s official website and its social media channels are the only reliable sources.
