Una ricerca negli archivi della Wehrmacht ha portato sulle tracce di un soldato tedesco della 715. Infanterie-Division, caduto durante i combattimenti sulla Linea Gotica e sepolto sul luogo della morte da un proprio ufficiale. Dopo la presentazione della ricerca al MUGOT, i soci di Gotica Toscana hanno verificato mappe, documenti e terreno, individuando il caposaldo tedesco ma non ancora la sepoltura. La ricerca continua e la storia del soldato sarà raccontata prossimamente.

An Important Donation Enriches the MuGot Collections

A significant private donation enriches MuGot’s collections with new weapons and artifacts from the Second World War. The items will be studied, catalogued and incorporated into the museum displays, helping to tell the story of the Gothic Line through the material evidence of the conflict.

August 29–30: A DIVE INTO HISTORY

On August 29–30, 2026, Un Tuffo nella Storia returns to the Giogo Pass. Organized by Gotica Toscana APS, the event is dedicated to preserving the memory of the Gothic Line. Historical reenactments, guided tours, military camps, and scenes of everyday soldier life will bring key moments from the 1944 Apennine front back to life.

New Display in the MuGot U.S. Army Gallery

A new display enriches the MuGot gallery dedicated to the U.S. Army. The indoor diorama features weapons, equipment and other American material from the Second World War, much of it recovered locally, offering visitors a more immersive experience of the history of the Gothic Line. COME AND SEE IT.

Venerdì 26 giugno 2026, alle ore 21.30, nel Cortile del Palazzo dei Vicari di Scarperia, sarà proiettato il film Sulle tracce di Antigone, diretto da Giovanni Brancale. La serata, inserita nella rassegna Cinema Garibaldi a Palazzo, è realizzata in collaborazione con Gotica Toscana APS. Il film rilegge la tragedia di Sofocle ambientandola nei luoghi della Linea Gotica del Mugello, intrecciando mito antico, guerra, memoria civile e paesaggio storico.

The German Armory is complete: come and see it!

The new German armory opened at MUGOT: a comprehensive display of Mauser rifles, MP40s, MG34 and MG42 machine guns, with a focus on metal feeding belts. Much locally recovered material chronicles the daily life of German soldiers on the Gothic Line.
