John Buschman, figlio di Melvin C. Buschman, tenente della Co. K 361st 91st ID, ferito durante gli scontri a Scarperia, visibilmente emozionato e sorpreso dalla portata dell’evento e dal calore del pubblico, parla del padre che anche noi abbiamo conosciuto. Fu lui stesso ad indicarci dove venne ferito e riconobbe la casa dove fu medicato.
Una scena narrata breve ma emozionante che mostra il momento in cui una scheggia di mortaio tedesco lo colpì. Fu poi ferito una terza volta a Livergnano, quando si trovo a saltare dal secondo piano di una casa senza più le scale. A causa della brutta frattura fu rimpatriato e per lui la guerra finì.

K 361st Regiment 91st ID wounded during the clashes in Scarperia, visibly moved and surprised by the event and the warmth of the public, talks about the father who we also knew. Melvin showed us where he was wounded and recognized the house where he was treated. A short but emotional narrated scene showing the moment a shrapnel from a German mortar hit him. He was then wounded a third time in Livergnano, when he jumped out from the second floor of a house with no stairs left. Due to the bad fracture he was repatriated and the war ended for him.
