John Buschman, son of Melvin C. Buschman, lieutenant of Co. K 361st 91st ID, injured during the clashes in Scarperia, visibly moved and surprised by the scale of the event and the warmth of the public, talks about the father we also knew. It was he himself who showed us where he was injured and recognized the house where he was treated.
A short but emotional narrated scene showing the moment a shrapnel from a German mortar hit him. He was then injured a third time in Livergnano, when he found himself jumping from the second floor of a house with no stairs left. Due to the bad fracture he was repatriated and the war ended for him.
