We present here a continuously updated series of profiles of courageous men, fighters who lived through the tragedy of war in the Apennines on opposing fronts. On the Gothic Line, during the Italian Campaign, stories of heroism and sacrifice unite both the victors and the vanquished. In this way, we aim to passhe memory of those who participated in so many bloody battles, thereby affirming the supreme value of the peace achieved at a high cost.
Let us read these stories, look at every face, and listen to every voice attentively. We will have even more gratitude toward those who, at the cost of their lives, freed us from the madness of Nazifascism.
